Founded in 2002 and incorporated in 2007, Recovery Houses of Rochester (RHR) is based on the Oxford Model, offering recovering alcoholics and addicts with safe alcohol- and drug-free peer-driven housing in a family like atmosphere. RHR's primary focus is to provide residents with fully-furnished homes to live in while they recover from alcohol and drug addiction. Residents recover at their own pace, with some residents staying a few months, while others living in RHR homes a few years. Currently, RHR provides housing for male residents over 18 who have made a personal commitment to change their life, follow rules, and be responsible for their own living expenses.
