Our Mission
Believing one addict or alcoholic helping another helps him/her to stay clean and sober, our Mission at Recovery Houses of Rochester (RHR) is two fold:
Our Vision is to be the most viable, reliable, peer-oriented, safe housing resources for its residents.
Benefits to the Community
With each life restored, we're one step closer to rebuilding a neighborhood. When recovering residents begin to feel goodabout themselves, they feel empowered and start to care about the neighborhood in which they live. Participate in and take pride in neighborhood's upkeep and have a sense of responsibility for keeping it safe and clean.
Together... we can make a difference! RHR partners with agencies for support services, counseling, as well as job training and placement. Housing and support services are in easy access to transportation, supermarkets, la undry facilities, and shopping areas. By partnering with agencies providing counseling and supportive services, RHR remains strictly peer-oriented. Our partners include Huther Doyle, Rochester Fatherhood Initiative, and Salvation Army.
What's more, RHR residents who successfully complete our program become contributing members of society and decrease the tax burden on their community as the goal for our residents to become employed, productive, and independent members of society.
RHR knows addiction is treatable as many former residents have moved forward with their lives, becoming and remaining clean and sober. Sober living in the community gives recovering addicts an opportunity to become employed, tax paying citizens in their community.
